Alice Diary - Day 10
Day 10 - Coming Home
After ten days the Bull's 2008 Alice Springs Master campaign is coming to a close. All that remains is to pack up and say goodbye.
Once again we get an air crew with sporting knowledge, who are very surprised to find 100 "athletes" on the plane. The Bulls proudly wear their medals on and off the plane.
Coming off the plane to see happy and excited faces, camera's flashing and get hugs from loved ones, caps a memorable trip for Invisi-bull.
He will be back with the Bulls again.
The Wash Up
The 2008 Alice Masters campaign was a success for the bulls. It was a success on the playing field as well as off. All the bulls worked well together and enjoyed each others company. There were no complaints about accommodation, snoring, farting or anything.
A big thank you to all our sponsors, Toddy's, Saracen Head and Distinctive Funerals.
A big thank you to the staff at Toddy's who look after us during our stay. The team Wendy and Greg have put together were always helpful. Wendy and Greg must also be thanked for extra effort that they personally put into the Bulls.
Coach Mal Watts did a fantastic job rotating and motivating the players. It is a tough job.
The committee who organise the Masters did a fantastic job. Everything was well organised and clearly communicated to all. Well done.
Norm Sluga also deserves a mention for organising training sessions in the period between winter season and the Masters. Norm's warm routine may have been one of the reasons the Bulls were injury free.
Finally thank you to all the Bulls players, who were such a great bunch to travel with. Invisi-bull's lasting memory will be one of fun, laughter and happiness.
See you all at the next Masters (just 103 weeks away!!!)
