Alice Diary - Day 6
Day 6 - Bring on the Cannon Fodder.
Wednesday night is party night in the Alice. The mid week concert, with Chunky Custard, is on after our early night game.
Wednesday was the chores day. Many of the bulls displayed their domestic skills by washing clothes and generally tidying up. It was a quite day with all Bulls anxious to perform well tonight.
Coach Watts kept the line up close to his chest but did say "there will be some surprises tonight". Unpredicta-bull kept telling everyone who would listen, that he was ready to pitch again because he pitches the night games.
We were playing the Viagra Eagles. After an injury free warm up Coach Watts, announced that Testa-Bull would be the starting pitcher, with Networka-Bull in the chair.
The match report for this game will be brief. We tried some untried pitchers and paid for it. Bruce "Testa-Bull" Lucas pitched well but conceded 6 runs (inlcuding a home run). AJ (Networka-Bull) came in for the second dig and produced an ERA of 135. Accounta-Bull and Vino finally closed the inning after the eagles had scored 16 runs.
Not a good night. Final score 22-7 to the Eagles.

The highlight of the evening was Unpredicta-bull making a general nuisance of himself on the PA. His choice of music and commentary was priceless and enjoyed by all.
Once again Coach Watts was less than expansive at the post match conference. His only comment was "f…ing rookies, they're useless".
After such a dismal night the Bulls looked to the concert to improve there evening. They went in search of hangovers and ways to forget the night. Most were successful.
Coach Watts said "Bull-scot (the Bulls stuff toy mascot) is appropriate - it has no balls and a ring through its nose…".
